Club Races

Royston Runners proudly host two flagship races each year that bring together runners of all abilities for memorable and challenging events set amidst the beautiful local countryside.

The first is the Chas Avis Harvest Trail, held every September. This popular trail race offers both quarter and half marathon distances, winding through the stunning rolling hills and scenic off-road paths around Royston. It’s an event that challenges your endurance, rewards with breathtaking views, and fosters a strong community spirit among participants. Rain, fog, or mud – nothing dampens the enthusiasm of our hardy runners!

Later in the year, we organize the Buntingford Year End 10 in December, a prestigious 10-mile road race that takes runners through the charming surroundings of Buntingford and its neighboring villages. This race attracts runners of all abilities eager to test their speed and stamina before the year closes. Not only does it offer accolades but also a festive atmosphere and warm camaraderie to celebrate another great year of running. Fancy dress is always appreciated!

Both races are meticulously organized with volunteer marshals, excellent facilities, and enthusiastic support from the wider Royston community. They represent the heart and soul of Royston Runners, promoting health, camaraderie, and local pride.
