Royston Runners adheres to UK Athletics (UKA) Club Standards guidance, as an England Athletics affiliated club.

We are committed to ensuring that all members are able to participate in club activities in an enjoyable and safe environment. All club members, volunteers, vulnerable young people and adults are entitled to a duty of care and protection from abuse.
We have adopted UKA Safeguarding policies and follow their Club Codes of Conduct. Our policies aim to support every club member including coaches, leaders, volunteers and committee members.

Our Club Committee, Club Captains, Club Coaching Team, Run Leaders and Club Volunteers comply with the above policies. Many are qualified in their field and all hold an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Volunteers will be asked to complete a ‘Self-Declaration and Disclosure form’ to undertake their duties.
